The Best Klaviyo Agencies, Compared Honestly

Search for a Klaviyo agency and the first result is Klaviyo’s own partner directory, the next ten are single agencies telling you they are the best, and Google’s AI Overview points you at three “best Klaviyo agency” roundups. I read all three. Every one of them is written by an agency that puts itself in its own ranking, and two of the three never say so.

So here is the comparison I would want if I were the one hiring. It covers eight agencies that do Klaviyo as most of their business, not as a line item, and it is built around the facts the other three roundups leave out entirely: minimum spend, team size, and what Clutch’s own aggregated reviews actually criticize, not just praise. I have not given anyone a score out of ten. A made-up score on someone else’s business is exactly the fake precision that makes these lists feel rigged.

Disclosure: I run a competing business. That is exactly why I have kept myself out of the ranking below rather than quietly placing myself in it, the way three other writers of this exact list did with their own agencies. Every agency here is assessed on published facts, and my own pitch is at the foot of the page where you can ignore it.

What Actually Decides Which Klaviyo Agency Fits You?

Every agency on this page has a Klaviyo partner badge and four-point-something stars. What actually separates them is structural, and all four of these are knowable before you book a call.

  • Minimum spend. The filter every other Klaviyo listicle skips entirely. It ranges from $1,000 to $10,000 a month on this page, and a brand doing $1,500 a month who signs with a $10,000-minimum shop gets whatever account the minimum buys there.
  • Team size. Two agencies here run 2 to 9 people; two run 50 to 249. Neither size is automatically right – a small team means fewer hand-offs, a large one means coverage when someone is out – but you should know which one you are signing, because nobody’s homepage states it plainly.
  • Flows versus campaigns. Every agency builds flows. Far fewer want to run your weekly campaign calendar as well. Ask which one you are buying, because the pitch deck rarely says and the difference is most of the ongoing work.
  • Who owns the Klaviyo account. If an agency added themselves as a user on your existing account, you keep your sending history and segment data when you leave. If they set you up inside an agency-level structure, ask in writing what happens to your flows and segments on the way out.

Ask one question on every call: “Will you be adding yourselves to my Klaviyo account, or am I joining something you control?” Klaviyo accounts are tied to a single business, not a login an agency can simply hand back, so this is worth nailing down before you sign anything.

How Do These Klaviyo Agencies Compare?

Ratings, review counts, minimums and team sizes all come from each agency’s Clutch profile, read on 16 October 2026. Where a figure is thin – Andzen’s rating rests on four reviews – I have said so rather than presenting it the same way as a 72-review score.

What clients praise

“They took the time to understand our brand, identify gaps in our existing setup, and propose testing strategies.”

The criticism

No published criticism, on a thin sample. Clutch’s aggregated theme for Andzen reads “No Areas for Improvement” outright. That is a real result, but it is also the smallest review count on this page, so treat the lack of criticism as thin evidence rather than a verdict.

Right for Brands that want the Klaviyo-anointed partner and are comfortable with a four-review sample.

Wrong for Anyone weighing agencies mainly on review volume.

What Should You Ask a Klaviyo Agency Before Signing?

Every agency on this page will sound confident on a call, because closing new business is a different skill from running Klaviyo, and the person pitching you is good at the first one. These six are the questions where the answers actually diverge, and where a vague answer is itself the answer.

  1. Will you be added to my existing Klaviyo account, or will I be set up under yours? You want your own account with them granted access. Hesitation here is informative, because the alternative can mean rebuilding your flows and segment history from zero if you ever leave.
  2. Is the fee a flat retainer or tied to email-attributed revenue? A revenue share sounds aligned until the agency’s incentive is to send more, not to send well. Ask what they recommend when a segment is fatigued and the right call is to send less.
  3. Do you build flows only, or run the weekly campaign calendar too? Flows are mostly a one-time build with occasional updates. Campaigns are ongoing work every week. Agencies price and staff these very differently, so know which one you are buying.
  4. What is the minimum term, and what happens to my list and flows if I leave? A twelve-month minimum is common in this category. Finding out what you keep on exit should happen before you sign, not after you want to leave.
  5. What Klaviyo partner tier are you, and what does that actually get me? Tiers are driven by client spend across the partner’s whole book, not by the skill of the specific person on your account. A senior strategist at a smaller partner can outperform a junior at an Elite one.
  6. Show me a Klaviyo account you inherited that was a mess. What did you find? Every agency with real experience has taken over a neglected account. The ones worth hiring can describe specifically what was broken and how they fixed it.

Ask for the name of the person who will actually build your flows, then ask how many other accounts that person is on. A strategist juggling fifteen accounts is a different product than one running five, at the same monthly rate.

What If You Are Spending Under $5,000 a Month?

This is the part none of the other Klaviyo roundups address. If you are spending under roughly $5,000 a month in total marketing budget, a $1,000 to $5,000 Klaviyo retainer is a fifth to all of it going to one channel’s management. For most stores at that size, the better first move is to get the core flows built right once and run campaigns yourself.

Welcome, abandoned checkout, post-purchase and a win-back flow cover most of what email revenue actually comes from, and they do not need a monthly retainer to maintain once they are built correctly. If you are still deciding whether Klaviyo is the right platform in the first place, the comparison against Mailchimp covers what actually differs for a Shopify store, and how I approach Klaviyo work covers the flow-first order I build in.

An agency charging $2,000 a month to maintain four flows that take an afternoon to set up correctly is not a scam, but it is not the right trade at your size either. Get them built once, well, and revisit an agency once campaign volume makes the time cost real.

Questions people ask

What is a Klaviyo agency?
An agency whose main work is managing Klaviyo flows and campaigns for ecommerce brands, usually as a Klaviyo-verified partner at a published tier, rather than email being one service among many.
How much does a Klaviyo agency cost?
On this page, minimums range from $1,000 to $10,000 a month, with hourly rates between $100 and $300. The minimum is usually a better predictor of fit than the hourly rate, since it tells you the smallest engagement the agency will take.
Do I need a Klaviyo agency or can I run it myself?
If your core flows – welcome, abandoned checkout, post-purchase and win-back – are not built yet, that is a few days of focused work, not a retainer. An agency earns its fee once you are running weekly campaigns and need ongoing strategy, not just a one-time setup.
What is the difference between a Klaviyo partner tier and quality?
Partner tiers (Silver, Gold, Elite and similar) are driven by the total client spend a partner manages, not by the skill of the specific person who would run your account. A smaller partner’s senior strategist can outperform a larger partner’s junior one.
Who owns my Klaviyo account if I hire an agency?
Ask before signing. The agency should be added as a user on an account you control, not the other way around, so your sending history and segments stay yours if you ever leave.

The alternative to all of them

Every channel,
one manager.

I run Google Ads, Meta, Amazon and Microsoft for direct-to-consumer brands on Shopify, by myself. The person you meet on the call is the person in your account, because there is nobody else to hand it to.

$1,500

Starting monthly fee

$0

Minimum ad spend

1

People in your account

  • No multiple managers. One person runs every channel, so nothing falls between them, and the fee buys work rather than an account manager, a sales team and an office.
  • The ad accounts are opened in your name. The conversion history stays yours when you leave, and Smart Bidding runs on that history.
  • Rolling, not a twelve-month term. I keep the work by doing it.

I am wrong for enterprise, for brands that need cover around the clock, and for anyone who wants an account manager between them and the work. If that is you, hire from the list above. It is a good list, which is why I wrote it. Otherwise, here is how I work with ecommerce brands.
