The Best Shopify SEO Agencies, Compared Honestly
Search for a Shopify SEO agency and you get six roundups, each one written by an agency that puts itself first with the only full marks in its own comparison table, plus Shopify’s own help page telling you to improve your meta descriptions.
So here is the comparison I would want if I were the one hiring. It covers eight agencies, every fact attributed to Clutch rather than to the agencies’ own marketing, and it is organized around what actually differs between them. I have not given anyone a score out of ten — a made-up scale on someone else’s business is exactly what makes the other lists feel rigged.
Disclosure: I run a competing business. That is exactly why I have kept myself out of the ranking below rather than quietly placing myself in it. Every agency here is assessed on published facts, and my own pitch is at the foot of the page where you can ignore it.
On this page
What actually decides whether a Shopify SEO agency is right for you?
Star ratings tell you almost nothing here — every agency on this page sits at 4.8 or above on Clutch. What separates them is structural, and all of it is knowable before you book a call.
- Minimum spend or minimum project size. The single biggest filter. Victorious will not take a project under $50,000, Storm Brain sits at $10,000, and the rest publish a $1,000 floor that is closer to a formality than a real constraint.
- The hourly rate band. PageTraffic is under $25 an hour, Storm Brain is $150 to $199, and Victorious is $300 and up. A wide rate band inside one category means the work itself is not standardized — ask what a typical month of hours looks like.
- How much of the agency is actually SEO. Intero Digital runs 70 percent SEO and 30 percent PPC with nothing else. Storm Brain runs 10 percent SEO inside a web design and development shop. Both are legitimate businesses, but they are not the same purchase.
- Who actually runs the account. You meet a strategist in the pitch. Ask who logs in on a Tuesday, and how many other accounts that person has. Clutch’s own review highlights name account-manager turnover as a recurring theme at more than one agency on this page.
- Contract length. None of these agencies publish a term on Clutch, which means it is a question for the call, not an assumption you bring into it.
Ask one question on every call: “What percentage of your business is SEO, and what is the rest?” An agency whose SEO line is a tenth of what it sells is a different purchase from one that is almost entirely SEO, even at the same star rating.
Which agency fits, at a glance?
Ratings, review counts, minimums, rates and team sizes all come from each agency’s Clutch profile, read on 13 October 2026. Where a figure is not published I have said so rather than guessing.

| Coalition Technologies | 4.8 (167) | $1,000+ | 50-249 | SEO plus full site rebuilds |
| Intero Digital | 4.8 (147) | $1,000+ | 50-249 | Pure SEO and PPC, no dev work |

Searchbloom
★ 4.9 / 5

The only agency here whose SEO practice names Shopify, BigCommerce and Magento by name, with Generative and Answer Engine Optimization added as a formal service line in 2026.
Minimum

Hourly rate
$100 – $149

Services: Search Engine Optimization · Pay Per Click · Content Strategy and Digital PR · Conversion Rate Optimization
Quality 5.0 · Schedule 4.9 · Cost 4.9 · Willing to refer 5.0
What clients praise
“SearchBloom feels like an extension of our own team rather than another agency we have to manage.”
The criticism
Room for Improvement in Reporting. Some clients find the reporting good but want more actionable insight built into it, and a few noted development-timeline delays tied to project complexity.
Right for Brands who want SEO run alongside paid search and conversion testing by the same team, under one data-driven process.
Wrong for Anyone who wants SEO run completely separately from paid media, with no need for the two teams to coordinate.
Victorious
★ 4.8 / 5
119 reviews on Clutch
The highest project minimum on this page by a wide margin, and the only one naming Generative Engine Optimization as a dedicated service line rather than an add-on.

What clients praise
“Victorious delivers solid results.”
The criticism
Challenges with Timely Deliverables. Some clients experienced delays in receiving content or deliverables, though the page says these cases are not widespread.
Right for Brands already committing well into five figures who want SEO, content and entity strategy integrated under one large team.
Wrong for Anyone below roughly $50,000 in project budget, where the minimum alone rules the agency out.
Coalition Technologies
★ 4.8 / 5
167 reviews on Clutch
The most-reviewed agency on this page at 167 Clutch reviews, with SEO at 70 percent of its service mix and a stated quarter of its work in Generative Engine Optimization.

Quality 4.8 · Schedule 4.8 · Cost 4.7 · Willing to refer 4.7
What clients praise
“They feel like an extension of our business.”
The criticism
Communication Overload and Slower Dev Turnaround. Individual reviews describe frequent status updates that some clients found overwhelming, and web-development work moving slower than the SEO work running alongside it.
Right for Brands who want SEO and a Shopify rebuild or redesign handled by the same agency.
Wrong for Anyone who wants a lighter communication cadence, or whose project is SEO only with no design or development component.
Intero Digital
★ 4.8 / 5
147 reviews on Clutch
Four American offices and a service mix that is almost entirely SEO (70 percent) and PPC (30 percent), with no web design or development line at all.

What clients praise
“The team has yet to underperform and has been on top with all of our needs.”
The criticism
Issues with Consistency in Account Management. A few clients mentioned changes in account managers, which sometimes led to disruptions.
Right for Brands who want a pure SEO and PPC shop with no design or development scope creep.
Wrong for Anyone who wants the same account manager guaranteed for the life of the engagement, which the reviews say is not always the case.
NextLeft
★ 4.9 / 5
29 reviews on Clutch
A certified B Corp and the smallest team on this page by review count, with Shopify named directly in its own SEO service list.

Services: Enterprise, Local and Technical SEO · Shopify and BigCommerce SEO · Content Marketing and Link Building · Paid Media (Google, Meta, LinkedIn) · Conversion Rate Optimization
Quality 4.9 · Schedule 4.9 · Cost 4.8 · Willing to refer 5.0
What clients praise
“They didn’t treat this as just a website redesign — they approached it as a performance transformation.”
The criticism
Proactive Approach with Room for Improvement. Clients are generally satisfied but want NextLeft to suggest new strategies more often and respond faster to shifts in search rankings.
Right for Smaller catalogs who want a boutique team and B Corp values alongside the SEO work.
Wrong for Brands who want an agency that flags ranking shifts proactively, which is the one recurring ask in its own reviews.
SeoProfy
★ 4.9 / 5

Built its own tooling (SearchAnalytics, LinkChecker.pro) and names ecommerce and SaaS as its two deepest verticals.

Quality 4.9 · Schedule 4.9 · Cost 4.8 · Willing to refer 4.9
What clients praise
“They deliver on what they say and communicate effectively with our team.”
The criticism
A Disputed Negative Review. One November 2025 review alleged missed deadlines and pricing problems; SeoProfy disputed the claims on the same page, which is worth reading yourself before you sign.
Right for Ecommerce and SaaS brands who want a technically deep, ROI-framed SEO program at a mid-market rate.
Wrong for Anyone who wants zero friction in the public review history without reading the dispute themselves.
PageTraffic
★ 4.9 / 5
116 reviews on Clutch
The lowest hourly rate on this page, under $25, and the oldest, founded 2002, running on an India-based team out of New Delhi.

Quality 4.9 · Schedule 4.9 · Cost 4.9 · Willing to refer 4.9
What clients praise
“Their level of clarity made a huge difference to the project.”
The criticism
Concerns Over Project Transparency and Communication. Some reviewers felt timelines and deliverables were not communicated clearly, with a few reporting infrequent updates; one verified review scored the engagement 0.5 over missed deadlines, which the page’s 4.9 average does not reflect.
Right for Budget-conscious brands comfortable managing an offshore working relationship.
Wrong for Anyone who needs guaranteed real-time communication. Read the 0.5-rated review before you sign.
Storm Brain
★ 5.0 / 5
126 reviews on Clutch
SEO is only 10 percent of Storm Brain’s service mix; the other 90 percent is web design, development and ecommerce build, with a $10,000+ minimum second only to Victorious.
Minimum
$10,000+
Hourly rate

Quality 5.0 · Schedule 4.9 · Cost 4.9 · Willing to refer 5.0
What clients praise
“They’re the most responsive service provider I’ve worked with.”
The criticism
Room for Improvement in Response Times. Clients generally praise its responsiveness, but some report occasional communication delays, so consistent response times are worth asking about directly.
Right for Brands who want the Shopify store rebuilt, designed and optimized for SEO as one project, and can meet the $10,000+ minimum.
Wrong for Anyone who wants SEO as a standalone engagement. SEO is a tenth of what this agency sells; the rest is a web shop that includes it.
What should you ask on every call?
Every agency on this page will sound competent on a call, because selling is a separate skill from doing SEO and the person you meet first is good at the first one. These questions are where the answers actually differ.
- What percentage of your business is SEO, versus everything else you sell? Intero Digital and PageTraffic will say most of it. Storm Brain will say a tenth. Neither answer is wrong, but they are different purchases at the same star rating.
- Who logs into my account, and how many other accounts do they have? A senior strategist on six accounts and a junior on twenty are different products at the same retainer. Hesitation here is informative.
- Is the hourly rate the real cost, or is there a retainer on top? A $50 rate and a 200-hour month cost more than a $150 rate and a 40-hour month. Ask for the expected monthly hours, not just the band.
- What happens to the account manager if they leave? More than one agency here has a published Clutch theme about account-manager turnover. Ask what the handover process actually looks like.
- What would you refuse to do on my store? An agency with no answer either has no opinions or will not share them. Both are expensive over a year.
- Show me a store you took over that you could not fix. Nobody wins every account. The ones worth hiring can tell you about a loss and what they learned from it.
Ask for the name of the person who will actually be in your Shopify admin and Search Console, then look them up before you sign. If the strategist on the pitch is not the person doing the work, you want to know that while you still have leverage.
Is it worth hiring an agency under $5,000 a month?
This is the part the other lists leave out. If your store is doing under roughly $5,000 a month in revenue, a management fee of even $1,000 a month is a real share of what the business can afford, and the agencies here with meaningful minimums — Victorious at $50,000, Storm Brain at $10,000 — are simply not built for that stage yet.
Below that level you are usually better off running the fundamentals yourself and buying a few hours to fix what is broken. The audit checklist I use on inherited accounts is published in full, free, and finds most of what a first month of paid SEO management would have found.
A $1,000-a-month management fee on a store doing $4,000 a month in revenue is a quarter of the business going to management rather than to product or ads. A good agency telling you to wait is useful information, not a rejection.
